COSTUME AT THE TURN OF THE CENTURY 1990 – 2015
U.S. Premiere of the Internationally Acclaimed Exhibition Curated by Igor Roussanoff, UNCA’s Visiting Professor of Drama
OPENING RECEPTION: 5pm Friday, Aug. 26 in the Blowers Gallery (Ramsey Library)
UNC Asheville will host the U.S. premiere of the international exhibition Costume at the Turn of the Century 1990-2015, from August 15th –September 28th, 2016 in various galleries and spaces on campus, including Ramsey Library’s own Blowers Gallery and most of the main floor of the library.
The data collected for the exhibition is included in the new, second edition, 680 page catalog “Costume At The Turn Of The Century 1990 -2015”. It is also archived, preserved, and shared with professionals, educators, and future designers, as well as the general public through the OISTAT/BCSTM Gallery’s website.
Extended thanks also goes out to the UNC Asheville administration, Provost Joseph Urgo, former Dean, Gwen Ashburn, the director of the Arts and Ideas program and former chair of the Drama Department, Laura Bond, Lei Han, Chair of the New Media Department, members of the Art Department, especially Carrie Tomberlin, director of the S.
